These applications demand highly robust and proven technologies for operation in harsh environments, while increasingly requiring the higher levels of integration enabled by advanced packaging.

The challenge is that advanced packaging is closely connected to front-end processes and often relies on high-volume economics — the opposite of the markets served by SERMA.
